Does a tooth gem damage enamel?
Professional bonding usually requires no drilling. The enamel must first be checked, and both placement and removal should be carried out with appropriate dental materials and instruments.
How long can it stay in place?
Retention varies widely with position, bite, habits and maintenance. No fixed duration can be guaranteed.
Can I have whitening as well?
Whitening should be planned before gem placement because the covered spot will not whiten in the same way. A dental check is required first.
What if the gem comes off?
Do not reattach it with household glue. Keep the area clean and contact the practice if the tooth feels rough, sensitive or uncomfortable.
