Two treatments with the same name may require different amounts of time, materials or laboratory work. The final price therefore depends on your clinical situation and the option chosen.

Federal Office of Public Health informationGeneral information may change. Your individual estimate, the insurer’s decision and the terms of your policy remain decisive.
What affects the amount
A consultation allows us to assess the true extent of treatment and avoid an overly general estimate.
The number of teeth involved, the depth of a lesion and any required X-rays influence the plan.
Access to the tooth, urgency, anesthesia and the number of canals or surfaces to restore may alter the time required.
A crown, prosthesis or implant may include separate components and dental laboratory work.
When several options are clinically possible, we discuss their benefits, limitations, maintenance and costs with you.
Preparation, healing, trial fittings and reviews may require several appointments.
Durability also depends on oral hygiene, check-ups and the maintenance recommended after treatment.
Reimbursement in Switzerland
As a rule, compulsory health insurance does not reimburse dental treatment. Coverage is provided only in situations defined by law, including certain serious and unavoidable diseases of the masticatory system, consequences of certain serious illnesses, or an accident when no other insurance covers the case.
Routine care related to tooth decay and ordinary orthodontics is not covered by compulsory insurance. Except in an emergency, prior approval from the insurer may be required.
